They strive to exceed their guests expectations of an accommodation establishment, by providing a holistic Wellness, Cuisine & Accommodation experience. With their passion for Wellness, Cuisine & eclectic living spaces, Bascha & Beat aim to provide a uniquely holistic accommodation experience. By setting an ambient environment conjusive to relaxation, guests can unwind, enjoy and simply 'be' taking quality time out of their busy lives. Bascha is New Zealand born with Swiss-German background. She met Beat, Swiss born, at the end of her 10-year travel, living & working in Europe. With encouragement from Beat, who had worked in New Zealand prior to meeting her, they decided to return to New Zealand, a decision that she has never regreted! They were drawn to Hanmer Springs in 1999 while on a short holiday. It has proved to be the perfect base for their operation and also for a 'nature playground' for their two young children, Gina and Lars. The children were also a catalyst for building their 3 bedroom family cottage, which stands adjacent to the main Albergo lodge. The product 'Albergo Hanmer Lodge & Alpine Villa' represents their personal interests in cuisine, design, wellness and meeting & hosting people from around the world. They speak English, Swiss-German, German, French, some Spanish and Italian. Beat's profession as Tourism Expert & Desktop Publisher aides him with the Event Management side of the operation - he is happy to assist with any travel plans. Bascha also has a keen interest in property and follows the property market in Hanmer Springs closely. She is happy to give honest and sound advice. Their favorite leisure activities include skiing, snowboarding, walking, reading, dining out, travel and camel treks. They are passionate about breakfasts!! With Beat's background in Events Management and Bascha's fashion & design, they pride in making each Albergo Experience special and memorable. Special occasions such as honeymoons, weddings, birthdays allow them to unleash their creativity and tailormake to suit. Guests are guaranteed full discretion and confidentiality.
